Test & Tag — Electrical Appliances
Portable appliance testing and tagging under AS/NZS 3760. Every lead, extension cord, power tool, kettle, computer, printer and portable appliance in your workplace gets visually inspected, electrically tested and tagged with a compliance label showing the test date and next due date.
Test intervals depend on your environment — anywhere from 3 months (construction) to 5 years (low-risk office use). We’ll advise the correct interval when we quote.
Fire Extinguisher Testing
Six-monthly inspection and annual servicing of extinguishers to AS 1851. We service all classes — ABE dry powder, water, CO₂, wet chemical, foam and specialty extinguishers.
Visual inspection, weight and pressure check, hose and nozzle check, tamper seal replacement, service tag update. Any damaged or out-of-pressure unit is flagged for replacement.
Fire Blanket Testing
Inspection and tagging of fire blankets in commercial kitchens, cafés, workshops, staff break rooms and childcare settings.
Blankets are checked for physical damage, correct mounting, accessibility and visibility. Damaged blankets flagged for replacement.
Fire Hose Reel Testing
Six-monthly condition and pressure checks on fire hose reels to AS 1851. Includes hose extension, nozzle operation, pressure verification, mounting security, signage check and full unwinding to inspect for damage.
We report on serviceable units and flag any that need repair or replacement.
Emergency & Exit Light Testing
Six-monthly 90-minute discharge testing on emergency luminaires and exit signs to AS 2293. We isolate mains, verify battery duration, check illumination levels and identify failed units.
Critical for offices, retail, hospitality, aged care, education and any commercial building with occupancy requirements.
Smoke Alarm Testing
Testing, cleaning and reporting on smoke detection across offices, tenancies, aged care facilities, childcare centres and rental properties.
Particularly important for landlords and property managers — Victoria’s rental laws require documented smoke alarm testing at defined intervals.
Safety Switch (RCD) Testing
Push-button and trip-time testing on installed residual current devices. We verify each RCD trips within the required time (typically under 300ms at 30mA) so your safety switches work when they need to.
Recommended annually for workplaces, and often mandatory in specific industries.
Microwave Safety Testing
Microwave leakage testing for hospitality, staff kitchens, cafés, aged care and healthcare settings. We measure leakage across the door seal and around the appliance to verify it’s within safe operating limits.
Damaged seals, cracked doors or leakage above threshold levels are flagged.
First Aid Kits
Workplace first aid kit supply, restocking and inspection. We audit contents against Australian first aid guidelines, replace items past expiry, refill used consumables.
Available as a one-off supply, a scheduled restock program or bundled with your regular test and tag visits.
